How to Change Your Primary Care Doctor (PCP)

Before Your Visit

If your insurance plan requires a Primary Care Provider (PCP), you’ll need to select Dr. Li Zheng at Weibo Medical Care as your PCP before your visit. It only takes a few minutes.

Does this apply to you?

Yes — you need to switch

HMO plans, Medicaid managed care, and Medicare Advantage plans assign every member a primary care doctor. Your visit may not be covered until Dr. Zheng is listed as your PCP.

Usually not needed

PPO plans and Original Medicare generally let you see any participating doctor without assigning a PCP. You can book directly.

Find your insurance card

Look for the Member Services phone number printed on the back.

Call Member Services

You can also log in to your plan's website or mobile app and change your doctor there.

Ask to change your PCP

Give the representative these details:

Confirm the effective date

Changes usually take effect on the 1st of the next month.

Call your chosen office to book your appointment
