Immigration Exam Procedures

Step 1:  Regular Check, height, weight, blood pressure.

Step 2: Based on your record, the doctor will let you know which immunization you need.

Step 3: Take immunization shots, draw blood, urinalysis

Step 4: Congratulations, once you passed all the medical exam. We will complete the I-693 form for you and give it to you in a SEALED envelope. You can not open this, you must give this sealed medical exam report to the US immigration office  

How long will it take to receive the result?

It usually takes 1-2 weeks for the medical exam to be complete. But in some situations, due to the test result, we will notify you and proceed to the next step.

I passed the exam, what’s the next step?

Congratulations, once you passed all the medical exam. We will complete the I-693 form for you and give it to you in a SEALED envelope. You can not open this, you must give this sealed medical exam report to the US immigration office.

How Much Does The USCIS Medical Exam Cost?

There is no standard rate set by the U.S. government for a civil surgeon exam, hence the actual cost of a USCIS medical exam will depend on the clinic, the country where the exam is performed, and the specific doctor. However, our rate starts from $150+. The final price will be based on the number of services required. If you lost your previous immunization record, or have expired immunization, then it will result in a higher cost.

Does Insurance Cover the Exam cost?

The simple answer is NO. However, you may need to confirm with your insurance provider; however, most travel and health insurance policies don’t include/cover the USCIS(civil surgeon) medical exam cost.

What if I can’t find my previous vaccine record?

If you can’t find it, then you will need to take all the required vaccine by USCIS Civil Surgeon

Can I take the exam if I’m pregnant?

If you are already pregnant, you can still take the blood test, some vaccine may not be needed. You can not take the X-ray. For a specific item, please speak to our doctor. Some vaccines can wait after you give birth then submit to USCIS. Please note, if you have taken MMR Vaccine, the chickenpox vaccine. You must wait 3-6 months to prepare for pregnancy.
